Founded in 1972 by Carson Noftle, Focus has consistently served
British Columbia’s development community with high-quality design in
multi-family, commercial, and mixed-use project types. We are a
recognized leader in the development of innovative solutions to all manner of
design challenges, while respecting the realities of budget and schedule
restraints. We are committed to
working collaboratively with our clients to produce high quality projects that
reflect the client’s vision and integrate seamlessly into the community.
We exist to serve our clients. We form relationships with our clients based on an ongoing dialogue about their goals and vision for the project. This approach allows us to make informed decisions that provide directed solutions for each individual project. The resultant design reflects the team’s collective ambition, is firmly rooted in its community, and is guided by the realities of the construction marketplace.
Colin began his architectural career with FOCUS in 1992 and rejoined the firm as principal in 2005 after a seven year absence. During this period, he completed two architectural degrees while gaining valuable experience in large, complex, public sector projects in the southwest region of the US. Colin’s project experience at FOCUS ranges from the design of single family residences to large scale, master planned communities and mixed use towers. As principal of FOCUS, Colin is responsible for building client relationships, overseeing design, and leading a diverse and talented team of professionals in the office.
While we are passionate about our work, we believe in striking a healthy balance between our professional and personal endeavors. We offer flexible work hours, a bright, open and collaborative office space, and the ability to work from home when needed.
